Texas Accounting Principles

As HB 2365 moves through the legislature, more newspapers are taking notice.  The bill, which gives Texas governments a pass from complying with GASB Statement No. 45, Other Postemployment Retirement Benefits, has passed the House and the Senate companion bill, SB 1102 has been voted favorably from the Senate State Affairs committee.  Passage on the Senate floor is the next step.  Read more about it in the articles in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the Austin American-Statesman and the Houston Chronicle.
